Blu is a lovely 2- 3 year old Australian cattle dog mix. His freckled face and legs and tawny yellow eyes give him the looks of his working dog ancestors and his sweet demeanor and grateful nature make him a wonderful companion around the house and on the hiking trail. Blue is great with cats (mostly ignores them) and he would do fine in a household with other companionable dogs. He is not an alpha kind of guy and he is comfortable learning from and following another dogs lead once the relationship has been built.

Blu likes meeting new people but can be a bit shy at times. He loves to go for walks and is energetic but enjoyable to walk with. Around the house he is calm and will follow you around to see if you are up to anything interesting.

He is housetrained but has not been crated. Blu enjoys having a yard to sniff around in (he is not a big barker). Because he was left outside alone so much of his puppyhood though, he needs to be inside with his family to be content and to flourish.
