Approx Age: 5-6 years
Daisy's owner moved out of state a year ago, leaving Daisy and a sibling outside in care of neighbors with whom she kept in contact. Upon learning that the cats' health was deteriorating, she turned to Dusty Paws for help. Dusty Paws now has both cats in foster homes.
Daisy is a medium-furred tuxedo cat, 5-6 years old. She is spayed and vaccinated and has tested negative for both FIV and FeLV. As of the first of July, 2018, she has been in a foster home for about a month and is doing well. She has gained weight and the fur she lost through malnutrition is coming back. After being outside so long, she seems happy being indoors. The first night in the new home she jumped up on her foster mom's bed.
By the 3rd week after rescue, Daisy began interacting more and more with her new human friend. She has a cute little meow and wonderfully loud purr. While not a lap cat (at least, not yet), she enjoys being petted and will sit next to her foster mom and press up against her.
Daisy is good in the home and doesn't seem to get anxious from being left alone all day while her foster mom is at work. She is litter box trained and happy to be the only pet in the house. She has youthful energy, jumps well without knocking things over and would like to play more. Still petite at 8 1/2 lbs., Daisy is described by her foster mom as "a little cat with a lot of personality."
